L.A.X. consists of thirty-five shots, most of them around three minutes (or the best part of a 100-foot load long), all taken with a fixed camera, although in several it is mounted in a traveling motor vehicle and in the first shot - a ten minute take - in an airplane that circles around downtown before moving west towards the airport. The shots are various and apparently unsystematic, but, though they include a wonderful take of the beach just before sunset seen from inside the door of a house on the front and a shot of the La Brea Tar Pits, overall they tend to recur to less glamorous and so less common vistas.
