Description
The second in a series of abstract films developed to explore optical patterns and sound coordination. Frerk is one of the most talented newcomers in the field of abstract and non-objective filmartistry, with a visual style similar to that of James Whitney and Jordan Belson. Presented on the NBC-TV special, 'THe New Communicators'; selected by the U.S. Information Agency for a special program of student films to tour mid-Eastern countries. 'NEBULA I and II are a progressive study of metaphysical implications within variations on a single abstract image. Mandala forms, defining, warping and redefining, alternately drawing you in and forcing you out of a special tunnel.' - Robert Frerk.[Source: Creative Film Society Catalog, 1975]
