Description
The work - or collection of work - includes the artist's very first experiments (spring 1975), projects from the lonely winter (Moons 1975-76), and the most recently completed Peach Beach (summer 1977). Stephen Mignone: Progress yep.The artwork is entirely colored line on paper, the applique ranging from chalk to ink marker. Peggy has the gift of a very profound patience. That is, patience with the material, the construction. She goes slowly, getting the line most correct and then applying the color with a calm hand. Then, in complete contrast the motion picture projector cranks the frame off in an exchange ratio of seven minutes/two years. The marriage of the calm hand to a frantic machine; progress, immense progress. - a loyal fan
