Biography

Al Jarnow has produced and directed hundreds of animation pieces for Children's Television Workshop, contributing significantly to Sesame Street's look and content. His experimental films have been shown in theaters, schools and festivals around the world. Jarnow studied architecture and art history at Dartmouth College, as well as painting and sculpture at the Brooklyn Museum School. In the 1970s he taught film and motion graphics at the Pratt Institute. Currently, with Lisa Greene in Jarnow/Greene Interactives, Inc., he develops and produces "hands-on" software for museums and consumer markets.[Source: Artist profile for Jarnow at the iotaCenter website]
