John Vicario was a cameraman, writer, photographer, audio consultant, and poet.
Vicario studied cinema at UCLA and in 1963 directed SHOPPER'S MARKET, his only known completed film. Since 2010 preservation work by the Academy Film Archive and multiple screenings in conjunction with the Getty's Pacific Standard Time initiative have renewed interest in Vicario's work.
